....although, I’m pretty sure in that interview, the doctor says that these “pluripotent” stem cells mentioned in the article are useless. The fact that they can turn into ANY type of cell is harmful and creates problems.

On the other hand the umbilical chord stem cells that Dr. Riordan uses perform an entirely different function.
