Declaring your relationship on Facebook used to be enough to solidify your online bond with a partner.
Not anymore.
Now, couples are forced to navigate the murky waters of Twitter faves, Snapchat streaks, twinstagramming, subgramming, going Instagram official, and more.
While its long been expected that good romantic partners will dutifully like and comment on their other halfs best selfies, its no longer enough to simply throw digital hearts on your partners Instagram posts. You must also Story Watch.

I thought of the advantages of just dating was a longer leash but not anymore.

Makes “just friends” a mighty appealing alternative.

Long been expected by WHO!? More and more I think most social media is a scourge. GET A LIFE PEOPLE! A real one not a virtual one........sorry for yelling, this mentality is ridiculous.
Add this to endless vulnerability to sexual misconduct charges and there is a growing technological altrnative: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5343555/Call-baby-Talking-sex-dolls-void-China.html
NO.
My wife is a serial Facebook poster. I dont even follow her posts anymore. She doesnt like that.
Those Japanese robots are going to be selling faster and faster.
so grateful I came of age before this nonsense, but have to say, even my kids in their 20’s are not this crazed. This should be a red flag to any man while dating.
Headed off to Facebook to see if one or two friends hit the Like button on my daily posts. My own relatives rarely do, even though I ‘Like’ all their posts. I only do this to let them know I’m still living.
When I was growing up, if I asked a girl to consume my content I would have likely gotten slapped....
Cha ching!!!
Daily?
Forget that. People are lucky if they get one a week from me. Meanwhile, my sister posts all day long, usually about dead people. She even posts videos of her commute
As the father of 20 twenty something daughters, I can tell you they make short work of headcase guys. There are a lot of them out there.
They expect to be treated well, and they want their men to work. They are not as focused on “jobs/careers” as I was at their age. But they are focused on marrying men who can be good fathers and good “citizens.”
There are a ton of momma’s boys out there. It was fun to watch them get kicked to the curb.
Make that 2 twenty somethings. I cannot imagine being in charge of 20 anythings...

So your daughters are looking for good beta providers?
I hope they learn to love the smell of cat litter, because guys aren’t in search of basically entitled “princesses” anymore that cant bring anything to the table other than “looks” and a fistful of demands.
One is married to an artist that makes $6,000 a week.(I don’t get it either...but he does.) The other is married to a state trooper AND Captain in the army, currently deployed.
Ahhh....they are not beta at all.
How did you get that impression? Because they don’t care about “money and career” as something that defines men? How about they care about men who are passionate about what they do and have basic survival skills to live after they’ve been laid off or downsized.
If that is a beta, than I wonder what an Alpha is? I will enjoy sending that information to my Airborne/Deployed Son in Law.
I don't FaceBook, I'm not on Instagram or any other social media (except for FR). I don't twitter or tweet or make any other bird noises. I have no footprint on the internet except for FR, email, and purchases.

I was going to say that you and momma must have been very busy during those cold Vermont winters ....
