Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will travel to Vatican City on Sunday evening to meet with Pope Francis.

During a news conference at Istanbul's Atatürk Airport State Guest House, Erdoğan called the visit a "significant opportunity" to convey messages of peace.

"I see this visit as a significant opportunity in terms of drawing attention to common human values, friendship and peace messages," the president told reporters.

"We will discuss Palestine, Jerusalem, Syria, Iraq, the fight against terrorism, the problems of refugees, humanitarian aid and the fight against rising Islamophobia and cultural racism in the West," he said, referring to his meeting with Pope Francis.

He plans to talk about Islamophobia and increased trade with Italy?

If Turkey's invasion of Erfin district in Syria is not stopped by World Governments, we are facing a return of Massacre and Genocide by Turkey. That is not overstated.

It is really very very very very sad, and disgusting to the core, that the popes have been associating with the Muslim terrorists and dictators , the greatest enemies of Biblical faith on earth ( and even kissing up to them big time).......all the “great reformers” were right about the Vatican, after all?

I have heard some of his prior statements about Islam.

I will not comment further on that. I do have my opinions though.

I don’t know the outcome from yesterday, but I was told late yesterday afternoon that there were heavy clashes all around Efrin (district not town). So Turkey was trying hard to invade from multiple points.

It has not been bloodless for any involved.

Turkey says there have been nearly a thousand “terrorists” killed by them. YPG strongly disputes that number.

Little accurate information is in Western Press, but this is not a bloodless operation. The Turkish air force has done great damage to villages and even downtown Efrin.

Most of the fighting is still concentrated along the outside edges of Efrin district. Turkey has penetrated the border by leveling villages with Air Strikes and Tank and artillery assaults.

Here are some threads on Twitter discussing the butchery of the FSA forces (directed by Turkey) including ISIS and al Qaeda components:

Mutlu Civiroglu @mutludc

YPJ fighter Barin Kobani whose body was mutilated by Turkish-backed forces in Qurna village of Bilbil in #Afrin

Rojava @AzadiRojava

YPJ heroine Barîn Kobanê defended her homeland Efrîn from invading Al Qaeda Mercenaries & your ally Turkey. They got her. They mutilated & dismembered her body. Don’t condone these warcrimes. Break your silence @theresa_may @EmmanuelMacron @sigmargabriel @HalbeZijlstra

Jenan Moussa @jenanmoussa

There’s also another video going viral which is too graphic to share. But I’ll try to describe it. Basically Syrian rebels near Afrin killed a Kurdish female fighter, took off her clothes, chopped off her breasts, stepped on her body &discussed whether she was beautiful or not.

Zohra Cizîr @Z_Cizir

Which f*cking bastard called Avesta Xebur, who carried out an action of self-sacrifice against Turkish forces and its jihadi allies, a suicide-bomber??? Watch this video, see what Turkey and its f*cking allies do, when they catch you alive!

Cahida Dêrsim @dersi4m

According to ANHA sources Turkish army & it’s proxies have killed 4 civilians in the village Elbiske of Rajo district. According to the source on the ground the villagers were caught by the jihadists, locked up in a house and burnt to death #Afrin

It is really very very very very sad, and disgusting to the core, that the popes have been associating with the Muslim terrorists and dictators , the greatest enemies of Biblical faith on earth ( and even kissing up to them big time).......all the “great reformers” were right about the Vatican, after all?

Neither the Catholic Church nor any of the other ancient apostolic liturgical churches have Biblical faith. Their religion is not based on Biblical faith at all. Only Protestantism (which the liturgicals will be happy to inform you is a recent inauthentic reconstruction with no roots in the chrstian past) has "Biblical faith." The only Biblical faith to ever exist is Judaism, which chrstianity insisted on "replacing."

The liturgicals will also happily inform you that nothing in the Hebrew Bible actually happened. The whole thing to them is one big chrstological parable. They claim that primitive man lacked the vocabulary to discuss or express abstract thought so he used stories instead. That's all the Biblical narrative means to them. It doesn't make any differences that their liturgies include references to Adam and Eve, Cain and Abel, or Melchizedek. These are all simply parables which modern man would express abstractly. It is apparently lost on them that thanking G-d for something He never actually did is blasphemous and sacrilegious.

The ancient churches are all also fanatically anti-Jewish, anti-Zionist, and anti-Israel. They hold American Fundamentalists in absolute contempt not only for their literalism but for their Zionism as well. According to them, "Zionist chrstianity is not chrstianity at all." I suggest they must know what they are talking about. It is extremely naive of Fundamentalist American FReepers to not know this about their Catholic and Orthodox "brethren."

In other words, there is nothing surprising about any of this, and it would have happened the same way whether the Pope were a heretic or perfectly orthodox. They all oppose Israel.

well,
yes.
but....
there are millions and millions of Christians, including clerics, that have a much more positive understanding or grasp of Christian faith... including (for many, not all of them) the Biblically-based facts that the Jewish people have to rebuild their Promised Land including their Temple in Jerusalem before the Messiah (re-) appears...........others believe the Jewish people have to be back in their Land and ready in Jerusalem for the Messiah (or perhaps an associate of his) to rebuild the Jewish Temple, wherefrom the Messiah will reign
there are considerable prophecies in the Christian scriptures supporting either of these closely-related POV’s, so that many many millions of good Christians do support Israel (if only for this eschatological reason)

Many additional good Christian faithful (who may or many not be very interested in Biblical prophecy) still are strong supporters of Israel for other Bible-based reasons, such as Genesis 12:3.
000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

of course, I do realize that the Vatican in particular has had a very long anti=Semitic “foreign ministry” including several previous pontiffs, ALAS!
Nevertheless, there have been a number of excellent signs that this horrid aspect may have been corrected, to become something safely put behind the RCChurch’s long past. For instance, Popes John23 and Benedict, and Saint JP2 inbetween them.. all taught a far, far more Christian (accepting, loving, friendly) attitude of the Jewish people....
I could post a hundred of these pontifical teachings, statements...FYI.
BUT.... alas.....well, we will see how Pope Francis proceeds. I have to acknowledge I am quite concerned for him....and he is certainly doing the RCChurch a great deal of damage (including most prominently in the marriage and pro-life arenas, just for instances to illustrate how serious the situation is now at the Vatican...)
All I am saying is that there is hope for the RC Church (at least in this one limited respect)....
