Thanks for your input. My knowledge of it comes from a matter a few years ago when a barrister from Blackpool in the UK called to refer an client who had a US tax problem.
In describing the client, he said, “I do think I should warn you, so you are prepared and not surprised, that he is a “flaming bagster, but look beyond that and you’ll see he is a good sort, and pays his levies on time!”
When I asked what a “bagster” was, he diplomatically let me know it was a term over there for what some call “teabaggers” here.
Unless she is a baker, the question them becomes, “why did she adopt that name”, and I’m afraid we might well know the answer.

Let’s discuss. Who first used the made up word “factoid” and had breaks on its 24 hour “news” network? Answer: CNN the original factoid “fake news” network... still at it today. What was CNN’s original channed # and location (as developed by Ted Turner?)
Look up the “word” “factoid”—— literal meaning is —oid= similar or likened to— “fact”= that which is provably true all the time (not a generally accepted opinion).
factoid— just what IS “like” a fact? Answer: nothing, because a fact can only be a fact.
Relativism= serves to justify and reduce the manufacture of the factoid. Not unlike moral relativism.

Totally agree. There is a problem with the net, though. Back when it took time and money to “publish” information, there was a natural need to try to do everything one could to ensure it was correct.

I find that very naïve in the least. Scurrilous at most.
But what can we expect of folks with tunnel vision as narrow as a drinking straw; with poor assessment and puzzle solving skills?
I would never expect a real conservative to defend the "pre-net" media as more reliable than the new media. Never. We all know better, don't we?
