A video of an Orangutan smoking a cigarette at an Indonesian Zoo is drawing a lot of criticism.
A man flicked his cigarette into the primates enclosure at which point the orangutan picked it up and began smoking it. The act drew some laughter from the crowd at the time, but now activists are saying the video is just further evidence of the Bandung Zoos lack of supervision.
The zoo has previously been accused of starving its animals and was temporarily closed in 2016 after an elephant was found dead with bruises on its body.
It’s just a phukin monkey
Are there any animals left at the zoos in Venezuela?
He’s 22, he can smoke if he wants to.....................
Lucky Strike Means Fine Tobacco.
How about letting him smoke pot instead of cigarettes? Im sure these lefty animal rights activists would have no problem with that!
The busy odies need to take the rest of the century off.
The Phukin Monkeys are from Thailand, not Indonesia. :-) /s
Like who’s going to be the guy who goes in to take the cigarette away.
Indonesians make clove cigarettes, called kreteks, which will really do a number on your lungs. I hope this wasn’t one of them.
I was expecting the pic of obama smoking.
If children can smoke in Indonesia (and apparently they can) then why shouldn’t Orangutans be able to smoke?
I guess veterinarians are supposed to care for animals who reside at a zoo. Presumably that would be feeding them appropriately, and keeping harmful substances away from them.
“Them dagum baboons are really pissin me off!”
