BEIJINGThe Trump administration is asking Beijing for a plan to cut the annual U.S. trade deficit with China by $100 billion, according to people familiar with the matter.
President Donald Trump tweeted Wednesday that Washington had asked Beijing for a $1 billion reductionless than 0.3% of the countries annual trade gap or around one days worth of the trade imbalance. His tweet was off by $99 billion.

This is a similar post to one from yesterday, which was the one quoting the original tweet of 1 billion reduction.
CORRECTION: $100 Billion.

I’m quite relieved. I thought maybe Trump had caved. It turns out he just, inadvertently tweeted the lower number.
Glad it has been corrected now.
A billion... a hundred billion... it’s hard to keep track of all the zeroes visually, which is why we use scientific notation.
Yes, this is good!
Lay down the gauntlet. Give them a chance to say yes or no.
Still think he’s gone soft on them.
Would have suggested he start, at 500 billion, myself.
