I have to agree. The same came be said about the use of all the gratuitous violence.
I'm far from a prude but I have to agree. In a world where the hardest-core porn is only a mouse click away, most of the bland, vanilla love scenes in Hollywood movies are gratuitous, completely unnecessary, and often distract from the tempo of the film. They're actually something of a throwback to the pre-internet era when T&A in an 'R'-rated movie was the closest thing to sex that most people had the opportunity to view. Today, they're pointless.
When I want to see nudity and sex, I'll view porn.

Why the hell do they even need sex scenes in the movies or on TV ?
I’ve seen posters on FR praising the sex on cable-tv programs. However, whether there is a genuine economic advantage for movies and tv to show sex and nudity, I don’t know. Given how easy it is to see naked people on the internet, I suspect that a program does not gain viewers by having nudity/sex: otherwise interested viewers would watch anyway. On the other hand, they could lose viewers who don’t want to see it.
On the third hand, however, the demographics of the various audiences - age, income, etc. - might still result in higher ad rates for “Game of Thrones” with nudity rather than without.
Maybe and maybe not. Why does sex and nudity need to be in any given movie? Why does the story require it, instead of just suggesting it? And who needs to see naked dead people?
The only evidence for a public demand comes in the form of unsupervised teenagers and young adults at the Cineplex who will always opt for the R rated movies.
Well, there goes the entire viewership of “Game of Thrones.”
Did I get this right. People are going to get paid to observe sex scenes. There is going to be a huge line for the jobs. I can see people camping out and standing in line for days and ahem nights. What a gig. When people ask what do you do for a living they can say “I oserve sex scenes.”
Until they find out it’s for gay sex scenes.

Cause in 2018 it’s SO DIFFICULT to see any sex, nudity and ANY OTHER insane thing one can think of at home! :)

True. I have yet to hear of an accusation of sexual harassment on set-cameras rolling.
This is the bumpstock ban of the me-too movement.
Some leading stars are quite known for bedding their co-stars in virtually every film they star in. Polite company says they are “dating”.
