HUNTINGTON, WV (WOWK) - A man has received 'significant' injuries after falling from a parking garage in Huntington.

According to Huntington Police, at around 8:15 p.m. Sunday, a man was found laying on the ground on the 700 block of 3 1/2 alley with items laying around him.

Police say that the man, identified as Christopher Sowards, of Huntington, is believed to have a fractured skull and a broken back after a fall.

It’ll happen.

As an experienced man with ropes and mountaineering. I can’t say a garden hose would be my first choice or even my second if I wanted to make a descent heh.

Never rappel with a cheap garden hose. You want the premium stuff with the brass fittings for that.

I hope he at least had the foresight to turn on the faucet before heading down, so that when he fell and was writhing in pain, he wouldn’t be lying there for a long time and getting needlessly dehydrated.
