Attorney General Jeff Sessions late Friday night fired former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, a little more than 24 hours before McCabe was set to retire.
Sessions announced the decision in a statement just before 10 p.m., noting that both the Justice Department Inspector General and the FBI office that handles discipline had found “that Mr. McCabe had made an unauthorized disclosure to the news media and lacked candor — including under oath — on multiple occasions.”
He said based on those findings and the recommendation of the department’s senior career official, “I have terminated the employment of Andrew McCabe effective immediately.”
The move will likely cost McCabe a significant portion of his retirement benefits, though it is possible he could bring a legal challenge. McCabe has been fighting vigorously to keep his job, and on Thursday, he spent nearly four hours inside the Justice Department pleading his case.

That might, hopefully, be considered as a “shot over the bow” by Sessions.
So now firing McCabe is a crime. That’s the spin tonight, he was fired because he’s a Mueller witness. This is outrageous.
Just an FYI- a while ago, I went over to CNN Don Lemon Show, to see how they were spinning McCabe’s firing. John Dean proclaimed it was nothing but political and Lemon agreed. Lemon posited that it was done to get Stormy Daniels off the front page. All on the panel agreed and then guaranteed that she wouldn’t be cast aside to report on McCabe. Yep. They are ridiculous and embarrassing. Journalists??? Bwahahahahaha!

Well, Stormy Daniels will be back on the front page, because Trump’s lawyer filed papers today demanding $20 million from her for breaching her NDA 20 times.

Does everyone understand how difficult it is to fire someone in Washington? If he was fired like this (one day before pension), then the cause of the firing must have been super-substantial. This would not have been done for minor infractions.
His firing means he can’t get an immediate pension when he turns age 50 (Sunday) but he can still get a “deferred” pension at age 57. He will lose his health insurance coverage since he won’t be taking IMMEDIATE retirement.
If this is Clark Kent turning into Superman, then the Session bashers are owed a big “thank you” for helping keep the disguise.
