CBS Sports ^ | March 17, 2018 | Kyle Boone

I’m a bit suspicious about this. Who had money on UMBC?

And that’s the sound of 10 million brackets shattering.

I hope Obamao had Virginia to win on his bracket.

UVA was also the victim of what’s considered the biggest upset in college basketball history, in 1982, against Chaminade.

Something good coming out of Baltimore. Maybe they can use it to turn the atmosphere of Baltimore positive.

UVA is a liberal cesspool. I’m thrilled to see the snobby Charlottesville trash get their comeuppance.

Virginia lost the best sixth man in the country to injury right before the tournament. Perhaps they were using this “sure win” game to try to figure out how they would play without him. Virginia did not look like they had prepared for this game at all.

At least we got the Maui tournament in the fall from that. Nothing but a truckload of shame for UVA will come of this.

UMBC stands for University if Maryland, Baltimore County not Baltimore City. Baltimore County almost surrounds Baltimore City. It is a very different place. Baltimore City is not in any county. UMBC is actually a part of the University of Maryland system and a good academic college.

Those kind of payouts are insured. Same cost either way.

A newbie in our pool picked them to beat VA. We were all making fun of him at our end of week meeting. On the other hand, for the tie breaker, he picked the combined final game score to be 3.

I think his luck will not last.

I’m reminded of the time my youngest filled out his first bracket. He thought higher numbers were better and picked accordingly.

Las Vegas had them at 20-1 for tonight’s game. There was a report that one online bettor put down $800 on UMBC and got back $16,000!
