China will open up its economy further, and its door to the outside will only get wider, with foreign and domestic firms allowed to compete on an equal footing, Premier Li Keqiang said at the close the country's annual parliament session on Tuesday.

The familiar-sounding pledges from Beijing came as the prospect of a global trade war loomed in the wake of U.S. President Donald Trump imposition of hefty import tariffs on steel and aluminum earlier this month.

Trump tapped into that section of America which is really, really tired of everything sold in America, being made IN CHINA.

This is a relatively recent development. And one which Trump would do well, to oppose.

I don’t yet know that he will. But he has made the right first baby steps.

“Trade war” hysteria. Trump ain’t no dummy. Anyone who believes his initial comments about steel and aluminum as an across the board tariff is delusional. It’s a negotiating tactic. He later commented about bilateral RECIPROCITY. It will end up a tit for tat. (He’s rattling our trading partners’ cages). 👍

BOTH PARTIES have been selling out American interests for the entire last thirty years.

Now, every single store in America, is all full of “Made in China” ... stuff.

Nope. I am not sure Trump is posing. We have had both parties selling out America forever. It is time for a change.
