A huge amount of the people active on this forum used to be strongly in favor of open borders.
As a nation we are at the exist or cease to exist point.
It became no longer possible to allow any of them to subvert border security priority to anything else...and they have largely left.
That is the largest group by far which has departed.

I should note I use to be very pro open borders and “free” trade back in 2000.

Even libertarians—at least those who value the Constitution—understand the concept of natoinal sovereignty, and that you don't have a nation if you can't control your borders...
You are correct about the open border people that were here. They were entrenched and that was a battle of its own. Many had an agenda, but many had simply swallowed the talking points from the left and believed anyone that was against illegal immigration and open borders were racist.
