Norm MacDonald is a comedian with perfect timing ... he leaves enough room to make himself look like a simple ignorant man while coming up with the most brilliant jokes. Some of his best was his joke about Alan Greenspan' s wedding to Andrea Mitchell, President Bill Clinton's parking spot, Martha Stewart fish bone birdhouse, and Larry King's table waitress joke was also brilliant.

This day of comedy is long, long gone.
Now it’s nothing but anti-trump and downright obscenity. Remember how Andrew Dice Clay was received ? And he’s a nice guy, it turns out.
These days he wouldn’t even raise an eyebrow. Especially with female comics. Like Eric Cartman said “Muh vagina!”
A good roast is one that makes everyone laugh even the target. Just enough truth.
Comedy is so sad now. I remember belly laughing at comedians and now I, sometimes, chuckle but mostly I’m cringing.
He had talent, something that today’s “comedians” lack.

After looking online at what passed for comedy at last night’s WH Correspondents Dinner, it’s too pathetic to even have a proper label. Likewise, never heard of that Wolf creature either.
Do we have to have EVERYTHING in this country ruined by these idiots - including what is called “humor”?
YouTube the great comedians and laugh. I do it all the time. Dean Martin Roasts, Carson Tonight Show episodes, original SNL guys and gals are just classic. Even the “edgier” foul mouth rated R ones were better. Today’s comedian is weak, doesn’t understand comedy and has turned into the Liberal a-hole Jester.

The important thing is “the Joan River’s rule”. She observed that comedy can be up to 50% angry and hateful, and still be acceptable. But when it crosses over that invisible line, it stops being funny in any way, becomes offensive and is not appreciated.
Importantly, the line is also decided by the venue. The same jokes said in an adult venue with raucous political inclinations are very different from those before a polite mixed audience.
Like Johnny Carson he was smart enough to distribute his barbs to both sides of the aisle.
Yes exactly! Smart and funny comedians know enough to distribute the material so that everyone gets a little heat, but this woman went scorched earth for one side and sent a warmed donut to the other.
Now we are hearing that it was ok because Trump did it. No, Sarah who was took the brunt has never done it so how is that fair!
