Former CIA Director Michael Hayden downplayed on Tuesday Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's dramatic presentation in which he accused Iran of "brazenly lying" over its nuclear ambitions.
"To the best of my knowledge -- out of government, not getting the briefings -- I think this is fundamentally old news," Hayden told CNN's "New Day."
On Monday, Netanyahu gave a presentation in English in which he claimed Israel has evidence that Iranian officials were "brazenly lying" when they said Iran wasn't pursuing nuclear weapons and that the Islamic Republic is keeping an "atomic archive" at a secret compound.
Hayden told "New Day" the US has known many of Netanyahu's recently announced findings for more than a decade.
"We created a national intelligence estimate in 2007 that said that the Iranians had stopped the weaponization part of their program -- missiles still going on, centrifuges still spinning -- but the actual building of the weapon, that they had stopped in 2003," Hayden said.
He added that the trove of documents and digital records obtained by the Israelis gives "more detail to the plotline that we all knew, that we all agreed, existed."

That it were “old news” would mean Iran should have been taken down long ago.
Well if it were old news that they were lying, why did Obama pursue the deal? Why didn’t you publicly say that the Iranians were lying and the deal was worthless?

They keep telling us this is a great treaty. Though its not a treaty, of course.
They keep telling us Iran is fulfilling the requirements of the treaty. But they don’t tell us what the requirements of the treaty are.
Only Iranians are allowed to be inspectors, and no inspections are allowed of military sites by anyone. Oh, and Americans are not allowed to know the details of the inspections.
Which means they can fulfill all the requirements of the agreement and still continue to work toward a nuke. Meanwhile they are sheltered by the non-treaty-treaty, we have agreed to leave them alone for the duration, and protect them from attacks by third parties. And we have funded their nuclear program to the tune of $150 billion.
This is similar to Clinton’s North Korea agreement, where we agreed to build them a free nuclear power plant, pay them hundreds of millions, give them free fuel oil, and in return they would allow inspections at their old labs. Of course, they just moved down the road a couple of miles and continued working. Free money, fake inspections, and kick the can down the road.

Iran certified it had no nuclear program in 2015, and Kerry and Obama believed them.
If this is “old news” why the heck would Obama/Kerry accept a known lie?

Michael Hayden is admitting that our intelligence community knew that the Iranians were cheating and that his masters: Barack Obama and Valerie Jarret also knew it and decided to do nothing about. Thanks Mike.

More accurately, Michael Hayden - an avowed anti-Trumper - is hell-bent on destroying the credibility of Trump and his allies. Hayden laced his statements with terms like “might” and “may”, but I don’t recall him saying that the Iranians are “...still bad folks. They’re still heading in a bad direction...” when Obama pushed for the Iranian nuclear deal.
Ex-CIA chief Michael Hayden is the source, however.
Hayden, Brennan, Obama, Jarret are all traitors to the United States and deserve severe punishment.
This article coming from CNN and avowed anti-Trumper Mike Haydn has no credibility. Haydn is blackballed from serving in the government in any capacity so believe nothing he has to say.

BN’s presentation was to show the world the depth of Persian mendacity and send a message to the turban turning clerics what other info Israel now possesses that is very current and of course shared with DJT. The Israelis did not go to all this trouble risk,and expense to spirit 20 year old documents out of Theran
Hayden knows this full well and is engaging in a common DC trick, deflection.
