WASHINGTON/BEIJING — The Trump administration has drawn a hard line in trade talks with China, demanding a $200 billion cut in the Chinese trade surplus with the United States, sharply lower tariffs and advanced technology subsidies, people familiar with the talks said Friday.
The lengthy list of demands was presented to Beijing before the start of talks Thursday and Friday between top-level Trump administration officials and their Chinese counterparts to try to avert a damaging trade war between the world(ple’s two largest economies.

Washington’s demand for a $200 billion cut from China’s U.S. goods trade surplus doubles Trump’s previous request for a $100 billion cut. China had a record U.S. goods trade surplus of $375 billion in 2017.
Trump has also demanded “reciprocity” between U.S. and Chinese tariffs, frequently complaining about China’s 25 percent car tariff while the U.S. equivalent is 2.5 percent.

I believe 25% is the tax CHINA charges us, to export things to China.
The tax we charge is just 2.5%, to import something to America.
That is a major point, in the trade talks, in fact.
I am so sick of the these Free Traitors™ Lie-bertarians gas lighting the public into thinking that we are not already neck deep in a trade war-and, up to now, losing. How can you avert a war that started 30 years ago and has continued unabated up to today?
