If the deputy had shot and killed him you would hear the "he was just a child!" cries ringing out...Not to mention the destruction of several city blocks as legions of Black Lives Matter protestors rioted, burned, and looted.
BLM tried it here once and it didn't work out so well. The local LEOs shut them down quickly. The local cops here get a lot of practice handling mobs every year during Mardi Gras.
The Baton Rouge cops did a good job shutting down BLM. One of them got so mad about it he ambushed and killed 3 cops.
