Good information to know.
His name was totally unfamiliar to me, yet I have apparently seen a bunch of his movies and didnt even know it.
Thank goodness my moviegoing frequency has literally dropped to 1-2 movies per year, at most.

And a generation ago, NYC was among the highest murder rate cities in the country. What changed?
It wasn’t the confiscation of firearms, or a change in gun laws - but rather a change in the government of the city and a decision to actually prosecute bad guys.
Prior to that time, the penalty for shooting someone was a year and a half less than for having a firearm and not shooting anyone.
