Dicks Sporting Goods has just lost a ton of business due to its politically correct gun control move, post-Parkland school shooting.
O.F. Mossberg & Sons Inc., which owns Mossberg guns, announced they would no longer deal with Dicks. And that was just after MKS Supply, the maker of Hi-Point firearms, and Springfield Armory pulled business from Dicks as well.
The backlash is hardly surprising. Mess with Americans guns and Americans will use their voices via purchasing power to mess back. Dicks made a sorry misstep in the wake of the horrific Parkland shooting by announcing the end of sales of assault-style weapons at all of its stores, and a new ban on sales of certain types of firearms to those under the age of 21 and, more recently, the hiring of lobbyists to sell a gun control message to congressional members on Capitol Hill.

We don’t have Dick’s here because I’m in Bass Pro country, but I’ve seen their PC TV ads, and I hope they go broke!
They deserve to go out of business.
The Dick’s that opened near my house has a perpetually empty parking lot.
Sports Authority went under and I suspect it was because of their PC gun control bent. Dick’s will go the same way.
I would make a guess that by the summer of 2019....Dick’s is sold off to some Chinese company, or maybe Wal-Mart, and the whole strategy of Dick’s is called a failed ‘gimmick’.
GOOD!! These corporations in trying to be politically correct and be favored by the left NEED to go out of business. One thing’s for sure.....I’ll boycott every damn one of them!
I stopped buying items from them when they caved on 2A a few years ago. I hope they go under.
Dicks should apologize to the public by making their toilets open to the homeless.
But wait a minute. Won’t liberals rush to support Dick’s since polls “overwhelmingly” show that gun control is popular? Also because of their name too. Why aren’t homos shopping there?
I’m sure they don’t mind. I’m confident their shareholders don’t mind either.
Good point. Look at all the good they did for JCPenney.
Their parking lots have been empty since all the stuff began. And I live in MA. No Bass Pro around me, and no Cabellas (there is one in East Hartford, but we cant even buy ammo there!)
For instance, I have never gone back to a Target since the men allowed in the women's restroom bathroom brouhaha. Instead, I will go to a Wal-Marts or a Kohls. I don't think too much about it, I just passively make my choices.
I now slide into a Dunkin Donuts when I want coffee instead of Starbucks. Also, I think Dunkin Donuts has the perfect solution to the bathroom thing. At least in the newer stores. They now have a pair of single occupancy bathrooms. Just one person at a time. You go in there, lock the door behind you and do your thing. Then you come out and the next person goes in. What could be simpler?
But if Black Rifle Coffee opens stores like they keep threatening to do, I'm definitely going there. I would go out of my way to go to a Black Rifle coffee shop. Same as I go out of my way to go to Chick-Fil-A because they do not suck up to the Left. So even though fried chicken sandwiches aren't my big thing, I will go into the Chik-Fil-A to show my support to a company that does not suck up and virtue signal.
That’s what they get for being Dicks.
Bye bye Dicks, liberal cry babies don’t shop in your stores so you just knocked out 35% of your biz overnight. And you have advanced degrees in business management?
They should go into some transgender line of business.
Not how the Right deals with a company which makes decisions we disagree with.
No protests, no death threats, no riots, none of that.
We just silently protest by withholding our $. It is the American Way and the ultimate expression of freedom.
Needed chest waders for one of our workers last week, which we usually buy at Dicks.
Drove right on by there and went to Cabelas instead.
Even treated myself to a couple of new lures and a few boxes of ammo while I was there.
