Is Jeff Bezos having second thoughts about his political ideology and that of his newspaper? The founder of Amazon and owner of the Washington Post – and the richest man in the world at the current Amazon stock price – is being targeted by leftists because he has been so successful. Not for any alleged misbehavior, but simply because he and his company Amazon (not the WaPo) have so much money. Yesterday, Bernie Sanders attacked him by name, noting that the three richest men in America have as much wealth as the bottom half. Apparently, he believe that if they had been less successful, that 50% would have more wealth – the zero-sum approach characteristic of leftists who do not understand wealth generation.

I am sure that he is not. That's why I get such an overwhelming feeling of schadenfreude when leftists get bitten on the hiney by their own policies (see Starbucks).
Washington Post is not what it used to be. I for one wish it challenged the Wall Street Journal for balanced content.

Sometimes I wonder if Bezos needs Amazon revenues to offset the losses you would think he’d have from WaPo. WaPo is a terrible newspaper, for all the reasons you mentioned.

Bezos should give half his money to the socialists running Venezuela - then the world can count down the months until the country is broke again... It would get the extreme socialists off his back... and make an important point.
