CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Several police officers have contacted Channel 9, upset about a tweet from Charlotte City Councilwoman Lawana Mayfield.
The tweet was posted in March but it’s getting more attention during National Police Week.
"Being black in America under number 45 has created homegrown terrorist wearing blue uniforms," the tweet read.
The tweet was posted after an officer-involved shooting in Sacramento. An officer shot and killed an unarmed black man while responding to a call about break-ins.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department officers said the tweet from Mayfield was inappropriate, especially as they are asking the City Council for a pay raise and are trying to recruit more officers.

Is this talk of “45” hinting that Trump is the 45th president, thus, these controversial incidents are Trump’s fault? Then how do they explain how Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown, etc. happened when Obama was president? Did Obama cultivate a climate of police terrorism too? Do facts even matter to anyone?

Because when 99.9999999999999% of these utterances invariably are demonstrably idiotic, and stupid, what other conclusion can be drawn?
Thankfully, I am fortunate to know a good many African-Americans.
None of them subscribe to such idiocy.
Perhaps it’s due to the fact that all of them received REAL university degrees. In difficult subjects. Without quotas.
So, they are proud of what they are due to their own work and success.

Police are managed by the city. I’ve noticed that every time a “police abused/killed an unarmed black man” claim is made, it happened in democrat city.
