Linda is playing Bad Cop. Does a good job of it, given his record of never opposing any conflict we’ve ever been in, and wanting to be in a whole lot more that we weren’t.
Though he isn’t wrong - pointing nuke-armed rockets at the US, and actively threatening us with them, is not a good long-term survival strategy. All the President needs to do is unhook the chain keeping “Mad Dog” in check, and a whole world of whupp ass will be landing on NK within hours, if not minutes.
Personally, I think that Kim is just bargaining, similar to how Trump bargains: aggressively. He’ll be at that meeting, and agree to pretty much anything. Why? Because DJT let the Chinese know that he isn’t Obama, and that if they don’t put a muzzle on their attack dog very quickly and effectively, that we’ll shoot the dog and put their economy in the crapper with tariffs. China is making him more pliable.
