I don’t think you can be arrested for not signing a ticket. What law would that violate?

Signing the ticket proves that YOU received it. It is NOT an admission of guilt.

The ticket is for the law that was broken; speeding, etc. Signing the ticket only indicates that you will appear in court. failing to sign, the office will complete the arrest and take you into custody to ensure that you appear.
