I don’t think you can be arrested for not signing a ticket. What law would that violate?

The ticket is for the law that was broken; speeding, etc. Signing the ticket only indicates that you will appear in court. failing to sign, the office will complete the arrest and take you into custody to ensure that you appear.

No. you're arrested for the infraction. The ticket lets you get on with your day.

No. You're arrested for the infraction. The ticket lets you get on with your day in place of being arrested.
