US bishop...raises eyebrows and sets social media alight with a very different Royal wedding sermon
U.K. Daily Mail ^ | 5/19/2018 | Hannah Parry

A US bishop stole the show with his fiery address at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding.

The Most Reverend Michael Curry has been praised for his passionate speech which touched upon slavery, the Old Testament and even quoted Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Many of social media were delighted to see the American reverend 'shake up' the traditional royal proceedings.

The preacher also provoked a few chuckles in the chapel - and even Harry and Meghan couldn't help but giggle at one point.

Meanwhile Prince William seemed to be desperately trying to hold back a fit of laughter as Rev. Curry talked about how 'fire made it possible to text and tweet'.

Meghan, holding hands with Prince Harry, smiled as she listened to Curry talk about how: 'Two young people fell in love, and we showed up.'

Rev. Curry even mentioned slavery in his wedding speech.

'I'm talking about some power, real power, power to change the world,' he said of the 'power of love.'

'If you don't believe me there were some old slaves in America's south who explained the power of love.

Article has lots of photos of those in attendance smirking, laughing, and with "WTF?" looks on their faces.

Well, America sux because the US invented slavery. Or something. Guess the snapper hooked harry in ways we can’t imagine. And don’t want to. Think of the puke fest when the first offspring pops out.

Rev. Curry even mentioned slavery in his wedding speech.

If you heard it, it was about love. If you were raised in a southern church, typical Sunday sermon. Stuck -up Brits don’t know how to handle it

The Beatles said it to music, and took less than 4 minutes:

All you need is love
All you need is love
All you need is love, love
Love is all you need

Love, love, love
Love, love, love
Love, love, love

All you need is love
All you need is love
All you need is love, love
Love is all you need

That the message is heretical isn’t surprising since it was offered by someone called “The Most Reverend Michael Curry”. Although I’m pretty sure The Most Reverend doesn’t love President Trump.

The good bishop made his point. Harry may have once been a military man and Markle an actress of sorts but now they will have a new and never ending role. They will be the poster couple for globalism and multiculturalism. What greater symbol than the merger of the most privileged of whites with the black underclass.

It is somewhat unfortunate that this guy has upstaged the two who should be the center of attention on their wedding day.

Rev. Curry embarrassed the U.S. and the U.K.

Just read article that this bishop signed a petition denouncing President Trump as a racist. The same President who helped to bring the two leaders of the two Koreas together. Hmmmmmmm.

True....
...but she’s their problem now

Saying that, I feel a sense of loss for ‘there will always be an England’

......and Queen Elizabeth
She didn’t deserve this

I agree. And I can’t help but wonder if on some level, however small, this marriage was virtue-signaling by Harry.

“......and Queen Elizabeth

The gospel choir singing “Stand By Me” (!) was probably like a thumb in the eye to her.

I’m so happy I’m not the only one who thought this ceremony was ridiculous - tacky and cheap. The 2 gals (and Shep), OK, the 3 gals, were gushing all morning over everything. I was appalled, embarrassed for the Queen and sorry the progressives are ruining tradition. Whether you like the monarchy or not, tradition is tradition and I hate seeing it ruined by a feminist, PETA loving liberal who probably won’t stay in the marriage for 5 years.
