The Man Who Sold The Moon has some great ideas. The one I like best is using the entire moon for a giant billboard by dumping coal to form letters. So there you are parked with your date, watching the full moon rise, and on its surface is "Eat At Joe's". Think a company would pay good money for that? You just have to be creative...
The same idea but on a smaller scale was tried in Rock Springs Wyoming.

I never saw an advertisement on it but its still there
