‘Reparations Happy Hour’ Invites White People to Pay for Drinks

In Portland, Ore., organizers of the “Reparations Happy Hour” invited black, brown and indigenous people to a bar and handed them $10 bills as they arrived, a small but symbolic gift mostly funded by white people who were asked not to attend.
Brown Hope, a local activist organization, wanted the event, which was held on Monday, to be a space for people of color in a mostly white city to meet one another, discuss policy issues and plan potential action.
While it was far from the full-scale reparations sought by some as penance for the horrors of slavery and continuing racial injustice, Cameron Whitten, the 27-year-old activist who organized the event, said there was one similarity: It made attendees feel as if their pain were valued and understood.
“It was only $10, but when I saw them I saw their eyes light up,” he said. “What I saw there was that people felt like they were finally seen.”

Again? Okay. Once reimbursement for transportation, food and lodging is forthcoming, then someone may think about reparations. I said think. Not necessarily do. I suppose some “repatriation” could be arranged.

Do they really want to go there? For years many Black activists loudly and proudly claimed the ancient Egyptians were dark skinned Africans. 5000 yrs ago they enslaved the Hebrews for at least 1000 yrs. Any reparations owed to American slaves is dwarfed by what’s owed the Jews and Christians on a 5000+ yr old debt that was never repaid, not even factoring in the accrued interest and late fees. So yeah, bring it on!

These people will never give up. Even after they take all Whitey’s money, and terminate Whitey, they will still be hollerin’ about White Privilege. They will never take responsibility for their actions. They will never stop blaming Whitey for their self-inflicted failures.
As for the “white people who were asked not to attend” you are the worst of a$$holes! They took your money and didn’t let you attend. They don’t want you, they want your money. After they take you money, they will eliminate you. If you can’t see that, you deserve what they are going to do to you.
There can never be enough “reparations” because people will continue to make poor choices, who will not emulate their bretherin who make good choices, but will instead blame “Whites” and with them the bigots of the Left, who believe the very same racist tripe that the color of a person’s skin says something vital about who they are, who they can be and even who they should be, those racist of the Left, they will go on an on about how bad white people are and how deserving black people are and the whole thing will fester and rot all the more.
Once you can’t be happy without feeling a little miserable you can never really be content or feel blessed ever again. Even in riches and fame there are ashes and bitterness vicariously to be had.
Better to rise up in arms and make an end of them.

To promote the idea that blacks need white welfare even for alcohol?
Like I’ve said: It would be ok to pay reparations to folks that were actually slaves. There doesn’t appear to be too many of them around though.
The civil rights movement has gone from “We are all united by our common humanity” to “All races are eternally separate, and their differences can never be bridged”
But God said they would be in Egypt for 400 years.

What about reparations to the soldiers who fought and died for their freedom in the Civil war?
If I’m a white self identifying as split personality black and brown, will I get $20.00?
I’m still waiting for someone to thank me for my white Irish relatives that fought for the slaves freedom in the civil war.
