I agree it is his right and anyone else’s. However if is my right as a retired vet to be discussed by this action. But, I was brought up that there is a correct place and time for your actions. In my opinion not the right time or place. I served for that right and I didn’t get paid millions for it.

It should be understood, that protests certain forms of speech can only be done at a certain time and place and prior to an NFL game, protesting against our nation and our president is not a correct form of protest.
We have a right to enjoy the NFL without such disturbance and we have the right not to have people’e views distorted or terminated by ABC or any other network.
This actually points out how feckless this symbolic protest is.
Generally kneeling means one is submitting to something. Prayerful kneeling is bowing before God. One could view kneeling at the anthem as offering the ultimate bow and honor to the flag. Hence was this idea of Kaepernick’s weird.
