Teacher Says He Was Forced To Quit Over School's Transgender Student Policy

An Indiana teacher says he was forced to resign after he refused to comply with the school district’s policy of addressing transgender students by their preferred names.

John Kluge, the former orchestra teacher at Brownsburg High School in Brownsburg, Indiana, argued that the policy ― which also requires teachers to refer to students using the pronouns which best align with their gender identity ― goes against his religious beliefs and violates the First Amendment.

“I’m being compelled to encourage students in what I believe is something that’s a dangerous lifestyle,” the teacher, who has been with the Brownsburg School District for four years, said. “I’m fine to teach students with other beliefs, but the fact that teachers are being compelled to speak a certain way is the scary thing.”

A Brownsburg Community Schools spokeswoman declined to comment on Kluge’s claims, but told HuffPost: “This teacher voluntarily submitted his resignation prior to the end of the school year. The resignation was accepted by the administration.” She added that the school district “complies with all state and federal laws.”

The dispute between Kluge and his employers reportedly began at the start of 2018, soon after teachers received an 11-page document outlining the school district’s transgender student policy.

Cool. Not that he's fired but that he stood up to the lgbtqrst... mafia. I still refuse to refer to these so called "trans" by their preferred whatever. Bruce Jenner, Bradley Manning.

The best one I read was when a college professor asked his student how they preferred to be addressed. One really awesomely cool student replied "Your Majesty".

The days of professor Charles W. Kingsfield Jr. are long gone.

Teacher’s unions are not there for the teachers. They are there to keep the union employees fat and happy by fleecing tax payers and teachers. Unfortunately the kids are the victims.

The public school system is trying to clear out every last Christian so they can have their way with the kids.

I’m glad he resisted the LGBTQIDIOTs, but it would be better to stay in the schools and fight to defend the normal (still majority) students. Teachers are supposed to call John Smith “Jane” and “her”. Okay. Call him “Smith” and don’t use any pronouns when referring to any mentally ill child. You are in compliance, but you are there in the room to protect the sane kids from brainwashing and indoctrination.

" — goes against his religious beliefs and violates the First Amendment."

While knowing their 1st Amendment-protections is good, if people were being taught about their 14th Amendment protections then they would know that they could work with their federal lawmakers to make punitive federal laws to discourage state actors from abridging constitutionally enumerated rights.

H O W E V E R …

We’re still stuck with a corrupt, post-17th Amendment ratification Congress left over from the lawless Obama Administration that has a track record for wrongly remaining silent while state actors abridge constitutionally enumerated protections, particularly freedom of religious expression.

The remedy …

Patriots need to finish the job that they started when they elected Trump president.

More specifically, patriots now need to be making sure that there are plenty of Trump supporting candidates on the 2018 primary ballots who will be willing to make punitive federal laws that discourage state actors from abridging constitutionally enumerated rights.

Patriots then need to pink-slip career lawmakers by sending patriot candidate lawmakers to DC on election day so they can start making such laws.

And until the states wise up and repeal the ill-conceived 17th Amendment, as evidenced by concerns about the integrity of the outcome of Alabama's and Pennsylvania's special elections, patriot candidates need to win elections by a large enough margin to compensate for the following concerns.

Biological reality is not a religious belief. Truth is its own defense. Calling it a religious belief portrays truth as merely an opinion. And when public opinion turns the other way, truth doesn’t have a leg to stand on because it’s all been deemed subjective.

He should have stated that he is not interested in denying reality. Then he should have asked his superiors, “And just what kind of thuggy people are you to demand that I play a game of pretend as a condition of employment, or else?”

So, did he have actual so-called “transgender” students in his class that he refused to indulge, or was his stated refusal for some future hypothetical situation the reason?

It has nothing to do with use of pronouns. He was fired because he does not bow down and worship the great god of dickchopperism.
There is no freedom of thought in the USA. You will conform or you are fired.

Again and again, when people have the chance to fight back, they fold and give in. The teacher should have forced the school to fire him and then he could sue the school to get reinstated on religious grounds.
