(Reuters) - U.S. celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain, host of CNN’s food-and-travel-focused “Parts Unknown” television series, killed himself in a French hotel room, CNN said on Friday, in the second high-profile suicide of a U.S. celebrity this week. He was 61.
Bourdain, whose career catapulted him from cooking at New York’s top restaurants to dining in Vietnam with President Barack Obama, was found dead in a hotel room in Strasbourg, France, where he had been working on an upcoming episode of his program, CNN said in a statement.
His death comes three days after American designer Kate Spade, who built a fashion empire on her signature handbags, was found dead in her New York apartment of suicide on Tuesday.

Suicide doesn’t end the pain, it passes it on to your loved ones.
Liberalism should be on the list of “Warning Signs” for suicide as it’s a form of depression. Liberals are always unhappy, and looking for more things to be unhappy about.
Traditionally you are correct. However, for Bourdain to have said as a chef that he would poison President Trump given the chance is inexcusable and unforgivable.

Couldn’t agree more. It passes the idea on to others, and can afflict one’s family, followers, and friends, with the same idea. The effects linger long, long after the suicide.

Not only that.. The person committing suicide will have the same pain/problems to work through before finding peace on the other side.. There is no easy out.

He could be funny and entertaining, especially in his earlier shows; Bourdain could also be remarkably stupid and offensive. I remember his show on Laos where he repeated the blood libel that US bomber pilots returning from raids on NVA dropped their remaining bombs on the Plain of Jars just to kill people for the fun of it. An Absolute lie and an absolute liar.

I don’t forgive him for many of the things he said and/or believed; still, I usually found his shows to be interesting and he had some cogent things to say. I was sorry to hear of his suicide.
