Liberals in general lack self awareness. When morality and priority are based on feelings, you don’t have to think about it or think at all.
And that is certainly the point for some - no need to debate, to reconsider, or even accept blame for logically foreseeable consequences. For others, feelings let the low IQ person be equal or greater than the calm, logical presenter. I’m outraged, so I’m right.
Since politics is all he does, maybe this is his way of asking for a raise. ;)

The hogg troupe has gotten used to the liberal $$$ that fly them, bus them, feed them, house them on all these multi state junkets and DC appearances. They will learn in the long run that it is 'free' to them in the short term. They will find a bill 'due and payable' along with the attitude that politics is a spectacle that does demand you play their way for their pay.

The spectacle realizes he is one, that he is a nobody, and has nowhere to go except likely living in mommy and daddy’s basement for as long as he can get away with it.
Davey actually thought he was a Hero Of The Masses as his CNN and Center For American Progress handlers told him he was. He thought it was real.
