The Justice Department inspector general has referred five FBI employees for investigation in connection with politically charged texts, revealing in its report on the Hillary Clinton email case that more bureau officials than previously thought were exchanging anti-Trump messages.

The long-awaited report largely dealt with the Justice Department and FBI's handling of the Clinton case but uncovered numerous messages that “appeared to mix political opinion with discussions about the MYE investigation."

MYE, or "Midyear Exam," was the code used in the FBI to refer to the investigation into Clinton’s private email server.

“Some of these text messages and instant messages mixed political commentary with discussions about the Midyear investigation, and raised concerns that political bias may have impacted investigative decisions,” the report read.

The report noted that it was specifically concerned about text messages exchanged between FBI officials Peter Strzok and Lisa Page that “potentially indicated or created the appearance that investigative decisions were impacted by bias or improper considerations.”

The FBI was trying to affect our presidential election....a lot more than 5 agents should be up for investigation. I can't believe only five FBI agents tried to sway the 2016 election. And WTF is FBI agent Peter Strzok still doing collection a paycheck from the FBI?

Who are the five? Too lazy to look. 5 janitors?

And yet the report concluded “no indication of bias”.

Wake me when the cuffs go on.

There will be no cuffs. Worst case, some administrative discipline.

Five unamed low-level “employees” isn’t going to cut it. Retraining isn’t the answer either. Heads need to roll on this starting at the top. Comey and McCabe must be prosecuted and serve hard time.

Let’s be clear. This investigation is an internal disciplinary investigation,
not a criminal investigation. Some might be fired. Or some might be
allowed to stay on after some retraining classes.
Big whoop.

It’s a bit like Comey listing all the laws broken by Clinton, and ten saying there is no intent.

Translation: Our ratings are in the outhouse basement because we’ve spent the last year antagonizing half our potential audience, and we’d like to keep our sponsors and our jobs so we’re going to give comedy a try.

On November 9, 2016, one day after the 2016 presidential election, an FBI staffer disparaged Trump voters to “FBI Attorney 2,” according to exchanges published in the report.

10:43:46, FBI Employee: “I’m very upset.”
10:43:47, FBI Employee: “haha”
10:51:48, FBI Attorney 2: “I am so stressed about what I could have done differently.”
10:54:29, FBI Employee: “Don’t stress. None of that mattered.”
10:54:31, FBI Employee: “The FBI’s influence.”
10:59:36, FBI Attorney 2: “I don’t know. We broke the momentum.”
11:00:03, FBI Employee: “That is not so.”
11:02:22, FBI Employee: “All the people who were initially voting for her would not, and were not, swayed by any decision the FBI put out. Trump’s supporters are all poor to middle class, uneducated, lazy POS that think he will magically grant them jobs for doing nothing. They probably didn’t watch the debates, aren’t fully educated on his policies, and are stupidly wrapped up in his unmerited enthusiasm.”

Moments later, the attorney lamented how a Trump presidency would erase would erase the Obama administration’s legislative achievements.

Passing off for a decision on additional investigation? The IG just took 18 months to investigate. And this is their final pronouncement?

Apparently the IG can't bring itself to make a "criminal" referral.

Comey, McCabe, Page, Strzok...and one other....that’s enough. All high level. Strzok intimately involved with Trump and Clinton investigations.

He was in position to direct it all

There may have been more but if you remember there was grumbling about how the Weiner and Clinton email investigations were being handled. You were getting rumors about rebellion in the ranks. It could have been enough to have the top

Not true. It concluded there was bias. It specified there was no political bias

The irony of ironies is that what Mueller is looking for has been revealed. Let’s pray for this Republic.

No documented bias, but bias in decisions made. There’s a difference.

I assume that since Sessions is recused from all things related to the 2016 election, then that include all this FBI bias and its actions against the Trump campaign. So the decision to pursue these criminal referrals and prosecute fall to the real Attorney General, Rod Rosenstein.

Any bets on how this turns out?

Thanks again, Jeff Sessions! For nothing!

Projection much? This exactly describes the Mulatto Muslim’s base. These a-holes are so far removed from the real world they are a total lost cause.
