Beleaguered ABC News was reeling Thursday morning after having to correct its latest anti-Trump error -- an on-screen caption Wednesday afternoon that falsely stated that Paul Manafort, Donald Trump's ex-campaign chief, pleaded guilty to five charges of manslaughter.
ABC quickly apologized for the error saying there is no excuse -- and an ABC spokesperson said the network is still investigating what went wrong. But ABC News sources tell Fox News that the false report was a practice chyron that had likely been maliciously written by a hostile ABC News employee (a chyron is a TV news term for words that appear on the lower third of the screen).

This happens periodically when a “joke” headline never intended to be broadcast accidentally makes it onto the air. However it’s always a malicious joke about republicans or conservatives, never the left. Not a single time. Telling (as if we needed more evidence)
ABC is to blame.
Obstruction of Justice.
Book ‘em Dano.
Do they really think we the public are still that naive?
These are subliminal messages, plain and simple.
That is a tactic long used to by corporations to convince the consumer to buy, say or do something they would not normally buy, say or do without the suggestion.
They put a ‘bee in the bonnet’, so to speak.
They need to write some more “practice chyrons”...
“James Goldston, President of ABC News arrested on child porn charges.”
“Channing Dungey, executive VP of drama at ABC, found guilty of racial discrimination.” She is the first African-American to head programming at a major broadcast network.
So it could have been anybody at ABC.
It’s a little worse than a simple mistake. The victim is currently in solitary confinement - without a trial - with two trials coming up, and this sort of thing is highly prejudicial. And absolutely deliberate.
I’m surprised it wan’t “Trump admits to strangling puppies in White House basement”
No need for ABC to start apologizing for false news. Where would it end?
LOL
manafort absoultely should sue and he should sue for a billion dollars...his life is at stake...
.....that had likely been maliciously written by a hostile ABC News employee
I’d be surprised if anyone at ABC News isn’t hostile to Trump.
ABC is a hostile work environment for traditional Americans and the tone at ABC encourages this type of hatred toward conservatives...
They can ‘apologize’ til hell freezes over and it’ll keep happening... because this is who they are...
Christopher Wray issued a report there is no bias at ABC but there will be anti-bias training.
David Muir perhaps?
Im really trying to de-fetishize lawsuits for people on this forum. Accusation of a serious crime is slander per se. its a dead bang winner. They immmediately retracted. One has entitlement to damages as a matter of law. Stereotypically in a case like this you get nominal damages of $1. Lawsuits arent magic bullets. One shouldnt engage in them unless theres something to be gained
This, ultimately, should end up paying for all his lawyers fees...
