During a courtesy call before her confirmation, Justice Elena Kagan responded to a remark by Sen. James Risch, R-Idaho, about gun rights.

Risch told Kagan she may not realize how important the issue was to most Americans...

Kagan said she had never owned or fired a gun. "But I told the senator if I was fortunate enough to be confirmed, I would go hunting with Justice Scalia."

Kagan lived up to her word. She has accompanied Scalia to a shooting range and on several hunting trips, she said. “It turns out, it's kind of fun," she added.

RBG has argued for decades that the age of consent should be lowered to 12 years old and that pedophilia may be good for kids. She has fought her entire adult life for unfettered abortion rights and fought anyone seeking any kind of limits in favor of the unborn. How he could associate with someone so evil is beyond me.

The greatness of Judge Scalia was his ability to influence people with reasoned arguments. It appears Judge Scalia was able to convince Kagan of the need to understand the original intentions of the Founders.

While I’m glad this might have softened Justice Kagan’s views on gun ownership, it is misguided. The 2nd Amendment is not about gun rights for hunting or shooting sports but for protection against tyranny whether from another individual or the government.

The average liberal might be surpised to learn that it is possible to hold and fire a gun without getting angry and killing somebody. I think a lot of liberals do not know this.
