Sounds like a non-Newtonian fluid; Oobleck (aka cornstarch & water)...

In the same way,
take the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.
Ephesians 6:16.
Once again, science trying to catch up to the Bible.

I was thinking a skin tight body glove that could totally negate the knockout game, but I don’t know if the people who like to play that game are into attacking orange people.

Nupe, no more than an ordinary cushion would.

Can this go into hockey and football helmets?

“They should put this stuff in football helmets.”
That still won’t have any effect on reducing Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE) that’s caused when the brain rattles around inside the skull during tackles.

No. It just increases the amount of mass impacted to reduce the amount of acceleration to a manageable level.
It is the difference of someone hitting you with a 10 lb medicine ball at 5 feet per second, and a 240 grain bullet hitting you at 1,500 feet per second.

Yes, someone else brought that up. I don’t see why not. It’d be a great application for it.

I read about this in a novel but the author said it was based on a real material, and damn if it isnt.!
