It puts the children in jeopardy and who knows what happens to some of these pictures. Especially when one reads that many childhood sexual abuse cases happen by KNOWN individuals to the family such as a family member or someone who has manipulated the adult relationship to get closer to the child.
Then there is the whole issue of childhood privacy. Which belongs to the child to a certain extent--especially as they get older than 5 or 6 (before that sadly it is usually in the parents' hands.) and each child has a different way of experiencing being 'seen' publicly. Those natural feelings and rights are taken away by many these days. Including not even the parents. But relatives that posts family pictures as well.
A lot of mindless people out there these days.
The last two family funerals I attended I was very upset as multiple people were taking pictures of me at the family wakes talking with others in private conversations.
I told them to stop. There must have been 3 different family members.
My family posts a lot on social media. So you never know what will end up where. I made it clear in my family no one posts pictures of me online, unless they have my permission (which by the way) has never or rarely been given.
Smart phones are for idiots.(;>)
