I started the bang list many years ago and it kinda brings a tear to my eye seeing it still being used. So many freepers from back in the day on the original list now dead and gone like nunya bidness, and other great freepers like Travis McGee now guest hosting Infowars. Just a great feeling to see it is still alive. That's all.
I never joined the Bang List - but I always enjoy seeing the “Bang!”.

Can’t date its genesis, but given my affinity for firearms, i’m sure I was there pretty early.
LOL I still have the original “ping list” for 2nd Amendment somewhere on my other PC and even the target symbol I used for all the articles. So many of the freepers no longer with us from that list I bet. OWK, tpaine, etc
I have the original thread saved as a link but it didn’t get migrated over to the new servers way back in the day.

It was before you could use keywords. I compiled a huge list of 2nd Amendment fans and spread the list around. Eventually the keyword function made the list obsolete but I’m still proud of that initial “hack” I compiled to ping other gun lovers. Good times!
You can have a list of articles, to which the banglist Keyword has been added, appear on your main FR page.

is to NOT let age worry me
yes, we get older (and as the saying goes, it sure beats the alternative)
yes, we may need to slow down or be more careful, certainly we don’t heal as fast as we used to....
BUT given all that, there’s STILL SOOOOOOOOOOOO much we can enjoy, or help make happen that’s good
and every time I get worried or depressed about getting older or more frail... I remember such as Charles Krathhauer all cripped up in his wheelchair.............like him or not, just look how active and influential he was ..... for so many years.... and I can still recall Helen Keller, for that matter..... and even (nobody likes him on FR, but still .........) FDR with his polio..............look at how much he did, good and bad, yes......even tho he could barely walk...
I INSIST on being as happy and useful as possible.. each day....period. Carpe Diem, and....well, Apres Moi, le deluge!
Ditto on never joining but always awatching and areading.
