After having written many best selling books, and somewhat priding myself on my ability to write, it should be noted that the Fake News constantly likes to pore over my tweets looking for a mistake. I capitalize certain words only for emphasis, not b/c they should be capitalized!

He’s just writing in the style of the founding fathers. It was the hip style back then to capitalize for emphasis.
Do. But taught “pouring” (probably incorrect). The same as I hear in the media lexicon “an historical”.
You are correct about your understanding being incorrect.
The media’s “pouring” consists solely of the stiff drinks they need to deal with their bitter disappointment at Trump still being in office.
Trump did make one boo boo in a tweet a couple of weeks ago. He wrote something about wasting “$40 million dollars.” Hope you weren’t taught that way.

Politico is already in a tizzy over his use of “pore”.
It’s hilarious. I don’t know if he does it intentionally or if it is just the mindset of a man who works 24/7 at 90 miles-per-hour. Either way it keeps the media constantly off kilter. They get so wrapped up in minutiae that no one truly cares about that their audience tunes out everything they have to say.
Pore, pore Politico.
That said, lots of folks here tend to get so hung up in grammar that they miss the message...ALL CAPS FOR SHORT STUFF is OK but a whole page of it can be distracting....
