San Benito (United States) (AFP) - She does not identify as Mexican or American. Eloisa Tamez is Lipan Apache and her ancestors owned this land a century before the war that imposed the boundary between Mexico and Texas.

Now a hulking border wall crosses her backyard, something she says feels like a "violation."

That’s right. The people who originally occupied the area were probably massacred long before the first Europeans arrived.

No they didnt. They laughed at the idea of ownership. They laughed at the white man. Their culture let them down.

“...her ancestors owned this land a century before the war that imposed the boundary between Mexico and Texas.”

1. There was no concept of ownership for her ancestors.

2. Some Spaniards occupied “your land “

3. You are now in America

Intiende?

You’re right. This “apache” woman needs to tell “the rest of the story”. It was nice of the Spanish conquistadors to give her a “land grant” then the Comanches came along and screwed up the whole deal.

She’s also on her land.

I didn’t mean to come across as insensitive when I posted the “whaah” in the original post.

But she’s on her land. Can she please not whine.

It seems to be all that everyone does anymore.

For crying out loud.

Internecine conflict among the many tribes made any cohesive nation impossible.

The indians stole it from the wooly mammoth, who inherited it from the dinosaurs, who got it from Ancient Aliens.
