MSNBC Guest Declares We Must Start ‘Civil War’ If Trump Chooses Conservative SCOTUS

Ever since Maxine Waters encouraged her supporters to publicly harass Trump supporters, liberals have denounced civility and things just keep getting worse. Now, Washington Post columnist and MSNBC Contributor Jennifer Rubin announced that if Trump gets his way with the supreme court, it is time for civil war.

“The people who brought Donald Trump and delivered him to the White House want this [the overturn of Roe], and I think they will not be disappointed. So then the question is, if they’re not able to withstand this onslaught, not able to hold back a justice that would reverse Roe, what happens? In essence, we go to 50 civil wars in each of the states, plus the District of Columbia,” she said.

“And here is where I think the Republicans have badly overplayed their hand. There is no, and I mean no significant constituency for doing what they want to do, which is criminalizing abortion and punishing women and/or doctors. Poll after poll, 67%, 69%, 70% of people want to keep Roe. And what that means is, they want to keep a constitutional protection,” said Rubin.

“If that then goes back to the state legislatures, you’re going to see an uproar. And I think if we haven’t already seen women mobilize through the #MeToo movement, through the election of Donald Trump, through the separation of children, you are going to see even more women in the streets, on the ballot, and voting to throw people out who do not recognize women’s personal autonomy,” said Rubin.

Jewish women and abortion

I just don’t get it

It’s a sacrament for so many

Not ours here God bless them but damn Jennifer Rubin is supposed to be a conservative

I had an affair..I wasn’t married..she was kind of separated .... with a prominent Jewish girl once....very...in Miami

Man her litmus test was

On a candidate

Abortion

Israel

Keep Christian Right from power

In that order

And she was married to a rich much older mousy Jewish man she was bored with and never had kids

Pity

Beautiful woman’s

I was forbidden scary fruit...we remained friends but I’d get irked at the Christian fear thing

I’m like well what have they done to you here?
Besides try to lower abortion
Her reply was well it’s the potential of a one religion country

Well what about Israel....well that’s different....

It was exasperating we should have just stuck to the motel rooms

In other words, if they don’t get what they want, they’re going to throw more tantrums? At some point, people are going to have to start getting arrested, charged, and jailed. I understand constitutional rights, but this is SEDITION. Even making a credible threat of sedition ought to get people convicted. If only we had an AG and a justice department.

I see by doing a search on her that she used to write for Human Events . Looks like she has undergone a major change of position on the abortion issue.

It's true the majority support Roe. But, it's also true that in 40 straight Gallup polls Americans want abortion banned or limited to race circumstances.

So, a large percentage of the population doesn't know what overturning Roe will do -- return the issue to the states and allow the states to restrict abortion based on the will of the people.

If she was Israel first, she'd back Trump.

Rubin is not nor ever has been a conservative of any kind.

The more specific the questions Gallup asked, the more it is obvious that most only want abortion legal in rare circumstances:

https://news.gallup.com/poll/235445/abortion-attitudes-remain-closely-divided.aspx?g_source=link_NEWSV9&g_medium=TOPIC&g_campaign=item_&g_content=U.S.%2520Abortion%2520Attitudes%2520Remain%2520Closely%2520Divided

The result is that 43% of Americans say abortion should be legal in all (29%) or most (14%) circumstances, while a majority of 53% say it should be legal in only a few (35%) or no circumstances (18%).

That is an anti-Roe result and has been for decades.

Abortion should be sent back to the States, for Voters to decide. The Left hates the idea of Voters deciding Abortion because they know the Majority oppose it.

It also means find a judge appointed by Obama or Clinton to give you whatever you want.

And remember, Rubin is the WaPo's token "Republican". You know, a "Republican" just like Mueller and Comey are "Republicans".

Really? fifty wars in each state? that is pretty fragmented civil warring.

I don't think the USSC takes popular polls to decide cases.

I am waiting for the Anteephuh gangs to show their guns. They have them. One portion does, anyway, and have been training like we should be training for a while now. They don’t participate in things like Portland but when the time comes one of those anti right attacks will include some snipers on building tops and maybe some pistols on the ground. And then it gets serious because at the next demo the right guys will be armed, too.

The arrogance and delusion of these people is just sad. Idiots all. They’ll find out real quick that laws on the books apply to them and secondarily if needed. Conservative Americans know how to defend themselves and will. First however is the rule of law. And we conservatives are serious about making sure that applying that is the first solution. If all hell breaks lose. There is no question which side will win.

The organization that includes Antifa has a militia that has been training hard with guns. They will draw first blood when it is time to inject some fire into the streets.

Excellent points. I’m starting to wonder what the hell is allowing these people to get away with saying this stuff? It is one thing to voice opinions. It is quite another to make these sort of threats.

Antifa currently does its thing in cities where they can count on the police to just look on or if it comes to antifas shooting protesters, the police shooting protesters, too.
