Obama is watching which way the wind is blowing. If he goes with the radical wing of the party, he will forever be tied to “transforming America” and in the history books it will not come off in a good way. If he goes with the mainstream libs, he will lose the admiration of the radicals, especially the #BLM movement. To them he will be just another “half white” establishment hack.
I’d argue that he knows the radicals have already taken over the DNC. If he aligns with them he knows how it’ll be perceived, they’re over the top crazy. The only other option is to be quiet, if he challenges their position they’ll turn on him. The only winning move is to stay out of it.
