Perhaps because she is a member of the HOA and is part owner of the pool.
Life is hard enough...Then add in homeowners associations which are full of hyper controlling people...

And how do you confirm that to the person in charge of stopping people from sneaking in to use the pool?
I'm a member of my local credit union, thus a part-owner of the enterprise.
Yet somehow they insist that I show my ID every time I cash a check, make a deposit, apply for a loan, etc. etc.

Being part owner of the pool doesn’t excuse not having ID or a badge to use said pool. I have a second home with an inground pool, and there is a monitor that sits every day in the baking sun to ensure only people staying at the complex are allowed - owners as well as renters.
Sounds like this dude isn’t very bright, but there was no need for the woman to escalate it by posting her “profiling” claim on Facebook. At our pool, everyone is asked, irrespective of race. It’s a posted regulation to bring your ID to the pool
That is why she didn't show her ID? He obviously didn't recognizer her. Is he supposed to know every family member of every resident in the Home owners association?
Might be feasible if there were like ten families or so, but how many are in this one?
What is he supposed to do when he doesn't recognize an owner or a family member of an owner?
