Landis gets $2.75 million in settlement with Lance, but how much will he keep?

Former champion cyclist Floyd Landis and his legal team will receive $2.75 million as part of the U.S. government’s settlement with Lance Armstrong in its False Claims Act civil lawsuit, less than two weeks before jury selection in federal court in Washington, D.C.

Landis, in the final accounting, may end up with almost none of it.

Landis is the scummiest weasel to ever straddle a bike. Tyler Hamilton is only slightly better. Both have made a cottage industry out of blaming Lance Armstrong for all their failures.

USPS paid Lance money to advertise their shipping parcels into Europe. Did they get their monies worth in exposure at that time?

The Postal Service got the publicity that they paid for. That it turned out that Lance cheated like everyone else doesn’t negate the benefit that they got at the time, and, in fact, they’ve gotten a lot of free publicity out of the scandal.

Back in the old days, there used to be a lot of Lance supporters on here who would take umbrage when some of us pointed out that he was less than perfect as a husband and parent. They crawled under rocks in a hurry when he finally came clean. Kind of like the Peak Oil guys.
