When I lived in Seattle, my sister came to visit. There was some local news piece about some young woman and the nifty humanitarian gig she was doing. My sister mocked her thusly: “Dig me. Dig what I do.” It was perfect.

Both but more satire.
Unfortunately, there’s a hardcore left contingent in Seattle in league with the sodomites.
I live here, love it because I am able to compartmentalize out the sucky left. They are actually small in number but vocal.
The business people in Seattle are largely pragmatic, neither left nor right. But they are becoming restless as the left is so stupid it’s affected city policy on business bottom lines. The left needs to be culturally pushed out. That pendulum is swinging.

I spent 3 years on the Georgia coast in a little town I discovered when I was stationed at Fort Gordon in the early Seventies. But the state bird -- the Georgia mosquito -- chased me out.
I then spent 3-1/2 years in a little conservative Dutch farming village in western Washington near the Canadian border. I loved that.
Now I'm in Old Town Scottsdale (AZ) back at work. I simply got bored and felt the need to go back to work to keep my mind functioning.
