FNC is #1, but it's rating and demos still stink in terms of what news used to draw.

Example,for May 2018:

Prime time (Mon-Sun): 2,381,000 total viewers / 461,000 A25-54 Total Day (Mon-Sun): 1,394,000 total viewers / 279,000 A25-54

Big whup.

Fox is only relatively good in ratings because it is the only barely conservative channel. Add up all the rest, and it is not so great.

True. Broadcast TV news audiences have declined precipitously.

That chart’s just a little misleading as it begins in 1970; Huntley-Brinkley ruled the roost during most of the 1960’s. The real story in that chart lies in the rise of ABC News, and the decline of CBS with “Gunga Dan.”
