Merkel, May and Macron just don’t get it. Trump is delivering the 3M dunces a message. If you are indifferent to defending your own borders and cultural heritage, don’t expect Americans yet again to sacrifice blood and treasure to save your sorry asses.

It was a wonderful thing to watch the Secretary General of NATO fumble as he grasped for words to respond to the President’s honest statements of fact to him about his country.

All the work of Schoeder. He signed a deal with Russia to side skirt Poland via the Baltic Sea for a gas pipeline after Poland balked at being controlled by Moscow over it’s energy pricing.

As a reward as soon as he left office he was placed on the boards of entities controlled by Gazprom by Putin.

So where is Europe supposed to get natural gas at an affordable price. If the answer is the US, then transporting across the ocean is expensive. We need Russia not swimming in money, but we also don’t need them desperate.

We need somebody with some negotiating skills who can accomplish just that.

Who, oh who, could that be?

Wow, that was the most incredible takedown of Germany that I have seen. Impressive...

Angrla Merkel responded by saying she grew up in East Germany. But, now Germans can make their own decisions.
True. However, that doesn’t prevent them from making illogical or questionable decisions.

There is no correct answer for Germany on this one.

Amen! Another truth bomb dropped on the smug entitled German elites. They’ll wail and moan but it’s all true and they know it.

Trump is a BOSS. My assumption is NATO members better lower trade barriers to US goods or 70% of NATO funding will be put to another use. Trump is resetting world trade and the US can only benefit in the long run.

A bunch of nuclear powerplants could fix that in short order, but nooooooo, Euroweenies don’t like nukes.

If Merkel wants to make their own decisions fine. They can also pay their OWN bills.

I’d then send the same message to U.N., pay up by Oct. or expect to pay your own damned rent. Oh and we also are removing Diplomatic Immunity to all Country’s Representatives that are in financial rears.

That’s basic parenting 101. My older kids want more say, they pay their own Bill’s. Until then I have some say in how my money is spent on them. The world are the kids and the USA has been mommy too long. With Trump, daddy just got home and is setting things straight!

It’s about Ukraine. The new pipeline won’t run across Ukrainian territory, means Ukraine has no way to get transit revenue.

"We're protecting Germany from Russia and Germany is giving Russia billions."

All the more reason to pull out of NATO. I wish Trump would stop tap-dancing around the issue and pull the plug on our membership. Do it today. At this meeting.

Exactly what I was thinking. Wasn’t Germany one of the European countries which deliberately shut down power plants for some environmental crusade and effectively made them more dependent on Russia?

Seems a few modern nuclear reactors would solve much of the energy demand. If Europe was smart, they would invest in modern reactors and squeeze Russia by dropping demand for natural gas.

A few of Israel’s nuclear powered desalination plants could solve all of California’s water problems, but noooooooo Democrats don’t like to solve crises, they just like to exploit them.
