ARNOLD, Pa. - Several weeks after she first came under fire for a social media posting, Arnold Mayor Karen Peconi is pushing back against those who would have her removed from office.
The post in question was referred to protesters demanding action after Antwon Rose was shot and killed by an East Pittsburgh police officer. They dont care about jobs for Pgh.. none of them work now," she said.
Peconi issued an apology for the comments, but that wasn't enough for many residents.
Tuesday night, the Arnold City Council voted to send a letter to Gov. Tom Wolf requesting he force Peconi's resignation.
During the meeting, Peconi read a statement that said in part: I am not planning to resign from the Office of Mayor of the City of Arnold and I will continue to serve as Mayor.

Then this Mayor (who is a Democrat), made some unflattering remarks about the protesters on social media. The other remark they objected to, in addition to the one highlighted in the story, is that they needed to be blasted by water cannons for blocking the highways.
Eating their own!
Never apologize to the social media mob.
Even in Liberal enclaves, among your own kind, you will NOT speak the Truth! Got it!
Man, these Libs move the goal posts every DAY! It’s hard to keep up. ;)
We are starting to live in this fascist state wherein people have a genuine fear of voicing what they really feel. If they do, they lose their livelihood, standing and everything. It is forcing everyone to conform into little automatons of the PC left.
Look, if her remarks were so egregious, then the remdey is not the governor removing her, it’s the voters at the next election. That is how a democratically elected constitutional republic works. Elected officials should be answerable to the voters, not the pc mob...
