After flying there many times over my career, I would agree that Changi (Singapore) is a super fine airport. Modern, very well equipped for travelers, CLEAN, and the list goes on.

It deserves first place.

Really, Denver? TSA lines take forever there.

Frankly, I’d rather fly into/out of a regional airport, even if I have to go to a large hub for a connection. At least then, I’m behind the large TSA security theater.

If you're using the British Airways-dominated Terminal 5, then Heathrow is actually quite good. The premium class lounge facilities are excellent.

Not surprised at Singapore Changi being #1. That airport is a huge transfer hub and they've done a great job for transiting passengers.

>>The highest rated airport in the US is Denver, at #28.<<

That is strange because there is NOTHING good about DIA.

It is miles from nothing and the ride from the entrance to the terminal is what, 5 miles?

When you get in the lines are always longer than heck (except for us elite flyers).

The tram inside is OK and the terminal amenities are on par with DFW, ORL or MIA (to name a few off the top of my head).

But as Douglas Adams (I believe) noted, there is no term in any language that translates to “pretty as an airport.”

My sister works in HongKong for a large multinational bank so I fly to HK on visit, then on route to our satellite company in the Philippines. Funny how I fly from the best to the worst LOL

And yes, transit to Changi and even Seoul, is damn clean. I still say today, the cleanest PUBLIC river I ever saw hands down, was in Seoul beside the airport. Kids were swimming AND old dudes were fishing plus you could see the bottom of it.

London Heathrow is horrendous!

So huge that getting from one gate to another in order to change planes is a harrowing experience.

Walk ... wait in queue ... take a train ... walk ... go through security (at snail's pace) ... walk some more.

I don't mind the exercise, it's just that if you have more than an hour to get to your gate and you make it just in the nick of time that's unacceptable.

Heathrow has got to be the O'Hare of Europe.

This list was made up of people more concerned about the look of the airport than its functionality.
