The Irish and Scots I knew hated everything English. Have not known any Welsh that I know of.

Spain. There are lots of Brits in Spain watching the world cup. The Brits there had a confrontation with Spanish police after England beat Sweden. The Spanish police got out the riot gear,clubs, and rubber bullets. The police nipped it in the bud so to speak.
I think ‘football’ should allow unlimited substitution, sucks England had to play the final stretch with 10 men.
That's the other appeal about soccer. While it seems that you just let 11 guys out on the field to do their thing. The coach puts a huge strategic imprint by how he uses substitution.
In this case poorly because he used up all subs trying to generate a goal. But even more important why weren't Vardy, Rashford, Kane, and Sterling all out on the field from the get go? I would have adapted the team's structure to make it happen.
I watched every minute of yesterday’s semi-final game and Croatia simply (and consistently) outplayed England right through the final stoppage.
That is why I do not care for Flopper.
If the game has to be stopped because you are on the ground rolling around, you should have to be removed. If it is determined even after that you flopped, you should be out a game. With all the flopping and fake injuries, the game is unwatchable.
The officiating was dismal, but England lost due to fitness levels IMO.
Come on it's the comic relief. Not to mention the magic spray the trainers rush out on the field with and spray the crap out of the supposed injury. Then the guy gets up all better with barely a limp. The stuff makes Bones from Star Trek look like the country doctor he's always claiming to be!
I used to think the way you do, then I realized it's their version of professional wrestling. It's meant to get your emotions flowing. Don't forget that there is a conspiracy theory that at the premier league level most of the games are fixed. Not to mention that FIFA is alleged to be one of the most corrupt organizations vying for the top spot with the international olympic committee
