Maybe Man is older than we think. And maybe, there have been lots of iterations over the millennia.
This has happened before. It will happen again.
200 years after a catastrophic virus, man would be making tools from stones again.

that's not completely true. It seems that even sub-saharans have some Neanderthal genes -- much fewer than East Asians (who have the most) and west Eurasians. It seems that some members of the family went back to Africa after fooling around with the Neanderthals

Its kind of weird. I will get a text message in the middle of the night telling the locals are tossing mortar rounds at them...but they keep missing and hitting their own people.
He facetimes with my daughter all of the time.
My MIL remembers sending her husband off to WWII in 1942 and not seeing him for 3 years. And only hearing his voice as he was about to get on a ship to go to Africa.
Its a new way to go “to War.”
