I have been blessed to be married for over 30 years. Neither my wife or I am perfect, but we made a commitment before God and I can’t imagine life without her.

I’m sorry that you’ve been so hurt, but not every woman is out to get you. I know it’s harder today, but nothing is impossible.

I have a great deal of respect for married couples who are genuinely devoted to each other.

But such are increasingly rare. For starters, you’re generally not talking about anyone under the age of 50 ...

I suppose I’ve been hurt but that doesn’t matter much. You can’t really get hurt in a game you refuse to play, and I’ve refused to play this game since my mid-30s. I may not be happy but I’m not miserable either.

My admittedly harsh view of gender relations today is based on watching how other people behave, or reading accounts of how other people behave. I’ve seen too much deceit and cruelty to ignore.

And the legal system is completely biased against men. Get hauled into family court and be prepared to have your life ruined. It doesn’t matter if you’ve been faithful and dutiful — if you displease her in any way, you’re finished.
